Whether you’re new to working out, you’re looking to switch up your workout routine or just hate high intensity workouts low impact workouts are a great option.
I know I struggled with thinking that if I wasn’t running, doing miles on the spin bike, heavy lifting, or HIIT then I wasn’t really working out. The truth is there are plenty of low-impact workouts you can do in or out of the gym and just because they’re low impact doesn’t mean you’re not working up a sweat or having an impact on your body.
Exercise is great not only for our physical health but also our mental health as well. Regular physical activity is shown to reduce depression and anxiety, help you sleep better, manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, and strengthen muscles and bones. There’s no one size fits all solution when it comes to fitness and really the best form of exercise is the one you’re actually going to do on a consistent basis.
